SATURDAY, JUNE 27

$ Beverages / Bar:  Soft drinks, juices, water, beer, wine, and our Signature O'Canada Cocktail will be available for purchase. Proceeds to Loisirs Arundel, our local non-profit organization dedicated to making your community a great place to live, love and learn in!

 

$ Artists Kiosks: Local artists will be showcasing their work and offering items for sale. To reserve a table ($20 fee) contact Yolanda Goulet via email at yolanda_goulet@yahoo.ca or by phone at 514-625-0092.

 

$ Food Kiosks: Our local chefs and caterers will be offering a sampling of their favourite creations for purchase. To reserve a table ($20 fee) contact Patti Flanagan via email at pattiflanagan@gmail.com or by phone at 819-425-0898. 

 

DJ Rod: DJ Extraordinaire!  In between live music sets, Rod will fill the air with your favourite tunes from the past and present.

 

Face Painting*: Who doesn’t want their face decorated!

 

Musical Zoo*: An extravaganza of musical instruments for the kid in all of us. 

 

Horseshoe Tournament*: Register your 2 person team between 2:00 - 2:30 pm.  Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

 

Cultural Olympics*: A vast array of challenges and puzzles to test your strength and knowledge!  Coordinated by Pat Thomas, Valerie Meyer, and Jesse Graham.

 

Square Dance*: A blast from the past!  Professional caller will guide you through all the moves, with live music by Ste-Anne-en-Gigue - Bill Gossage, Mike Bleho, & Glenn Roy.  You don’t want to miss this!

 

 

SUNDAY, JUNE 28

Family Fun Run / Walk*: Meet at the Festival site for a relaxing walk or short run along the Aerobic Corridor and the beautiful Rouge River to Huberdeau and back.  Contact Marlene Sequin via marleneandreal@gmail.com or 819-687-8566.

 

Family Bike Ride*: Join local cyclists for a leisurely ride along the Aerobic Corridor and the beautiful Rouge River to Huberdeau and back. Contact Marlene Sequin via marleneandreal@gmail.com or 819-687-8566.

 

Cake & Pie Contest*: You’ve been saying for years yours is the best, now is the time to prove it!  Guest judge Jenny Pearson Millar will choose the winners.  Winning cake and pie will be auctioned off; remaining entries will be sold $1 per piece.   Contact Pat Thomas at 819-687-9201 for all the details. Proceeds to Loisirs Arundel, our local non-profit organization dedicated to making your community a great place to live, love and learn in!

 

Community Cultural Project*:  A 4’ x 8’ outdoor collage made by you!  Each participant starts with a pre-cut block of poster board to decorate as they wish.  Theme centres on family, culture, heritage, and Canada.  We’ll put all the blocks together to create a one-of-a-kind collage to display in our community.  Art and decorating supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own family photos, designs, and memorabilia to add your family to the mix. Surprise Presentation*: A special presentation for all ages.  Stay tuned for details.

 

Participation Raffle: For every activity you participate in, you will receive a raffle ticket for some great prizes!  Be sure to ask for yours at each activity.  In order to claim your prize, you need to be present or have someone there on your behalf.  Prize details to come later.

 

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 1ST

 

Flag Raising Ceremony: In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Canadian Flag, Arundel will have a special flag raising ceremony In honour of the co-creator of the Canadian Flag, John Ross Matheson, born in Arundel in 1917, son of 

Reverend Dr. A. Dawson Matheson and his wife Gertrude (née McCuaig). M. Matheson's grandson, also called John Matheson, is our special guest who will raise the flag and unveil a commemorative plaque.
