ROB LUTES CONCERT AT THE LAKEHOUSE, SEPTEMBER 15, 2015
The concert ended with everyone asking for more…more from Rob and more concerts. A very happy, quite diverse, group of people sat on the porch on the lovely Sunday afternoon amidst sunlight and falling leaves beside the gardens and lake. What a setting for Rob’s skilled, diverse, original, and absorbing music, He played for over two hours with his music dispersed with anecdotes, lively interchange with his audience and background to his poetic and often philosophical songs.
Rob was ably backed up by DJ Rod , a sound man who was tucked away amidst the trees.
Before the concert and at the intermission, a well-attended café, inside the Lakehouse, offered tea, coffee, soft drinks and baked goods for sale. There was a very congenial atmosphere throughout the afternoon.
Loisirs Arundel has every intention to supply more of the same. Many thanks to all who participated in the planning and execution of a very successful event; particular thank...
Loisirs Arundel was proud to host a special Canada day activity in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Canadian flag, and the co-creator of the Canadian Flag: Mr. John Ross Matheson, who was born in Arundel! We were very happy to have his grandson, John Matheson, come and join us for the day and share some anecdotes of his grandfather's contribution to the flag and his early life in Arundel. CBC's breakaway show got in the mix with an interview with John Matheson. Here is the link to hear the interview:CBC Breakaway Interview with John Matheson.
We also have a video of the flag ceremonies made for us by Dean Brisson
